The Summer Program is open to children whose families are registered parishioners of St. John's.
Grades 3-8
The Summer Program is a viable option for families who worship regularly throughout the year with their children. It is not an effective choice for children if their contact with the parish community is only during the Summer Program.
Children should be registered for the grade that they will enter in the fall of 2010. Grades 3-8 are included in this program. The children meet one week from 8:15 - 2:00 Monday through Friday. The children will attend 8:30 Mass each morning, family members are also invited. This is a very fast paced week with an abundance of information presented to the children. The teachers will cover as much of the curriculum as time allows. Parents are required to complete all of the chapters that are not completed during the week with their children. Children are also required to attend two lessons during the year, one in Advent and the other in Lent (see dates below). Students should bring their completed textbook to the Advent Lesson to verify completion and it will be returned at the Lent Lesson. Each grade level also has a Family Mass during the year. Note the time change for classes this summer.

Enrollment for all Summer Sessions will be approximately 60 students; 10 per class. Each class will require 2 adult teachers which totals 12 teachers needed per session. Classes will only take place if the required number of teachers is met. Please volunteer!
